Dear Madam/Sir,
I am so sorry for your inconvenience!

After releasing the app, we noticed that the app is repeatedly sending a strange message, ”Renew Subscription, to users but this glitch will not affect app performance or charge an extra fee at all so you can just ignore the message.

According to our development team, it seems to be related with Calendar Store that offers various calendars such as sport calendar, national holidays and stuff through In-App purchase. However, the calendar store is provided another 3rd party app company not by us so we asked them to review the issue and we are waiting for their follow-up.

Aside from that, we found a way to stop getting the message. There is an option named Background App Refresh at the following path and if you turn it off, it will not get the message anymore.

iPhone/iPad settings>General>Background App Refresh>AwesomeCalendar.

I am sorry again for your inconvenience and promise that we will fix the issue as soon as we can.

    I have turned off the background app refresh and I am still getting the subscription reminder!!! This is very annoying and I'd have to agree that it takes the app down from 5* to 1

    This moves you from a 5* app to a 1* - you can't have random reminders going off all the time. It might not sound like much if you are not suffering from it but if you are complete pain and big enough to switch apps.

    Same problem here. Please stop the "renew subscription" alerts. I bought the full version to avoid this sort of nuisance. Don't blame a third party! Fix the issue immediately!!

    Please STOP the Renew Subscription alert. Very annoying. It comes up incessantly. I turned off the Background App Refresh, hope this works.

    I am getting it too. Just wrote support asking why but didn't see this section til now. Love the program but didnt read anything when I bought it a couple of years ago about subscription fees. Hopefully just a fluke and they can fix with next update?
