It should have an option to delete on this "Awesome Calender" any event that's has been imported/synced from other Calelnders.
Deleting any Synced items from other Calenders ie: birthday reminders etc.

I want to know how to delete events that have been imported from outlook, they are all un-editable which as far as I can see, I cannot delete them.

You can turn off the birthday calendar in Settings. AwesomeCalendar's Settings>Visible Calendar>Turn off "Birthday".
