How can we improve AwesomeCalendar?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Event text color on month view should be dark or light as per the background color

    I am currently using lighter colors for two calendars. In month view, the event text is hardly visible as it seems to always be white. In other software i have sometimes seen automatic display of high-contrast text color according to the background color when entering data. Can this be provided for Awesome calendar?

  5. Please add a "delete duplicate events" function

    To allow for easy clean-up when following syncs we end up with several of the same appointment

  7. Have a day view so that events running at the same time will display next to each other, rather than below each other

    A day view to enable timetabling within the day. So the times are fixed and events span the relevant times.

    Two of "10 minutes before" alerts will be created automatically when I create a new event but none of alert added.

  9. The ability to set different dates for sub-tasks (or sub-todos)

    Currently you can set a todo, like "write report" and set a due date, but it would be good to be able to set sub task dates like "complete research for report" and "send draft to boss" etc so you can plan your time to complete the work

  14. Bad/foolish notification

    Say you create an event, Lunch, with an "at start" alert... The notification reads "Awesome Lunch left"... c'mon can't you simply write an if/else so that if the minutes left = 0 you output 'now' instead of the nonsensical 'left'.. What a foolish flaw in an otherwise worthwhile application

  15. On one screen, I'd like to view the Month on one side and tasks on the other

    It would be nice to have the month and tasks with due dates that is fully editable on the other side....maybe a pop up?

  16. Uniform the Day/Date Scrollers

    Uniform the Day/Date Scrollers. Right now the Event scroller shows date AND day. Very helpful. But the Todo and Task scrollers only show date for selection... but it's really helpful to see the day of the date as well just like in the Event scroller. Shouldn't all three be uniformed the same any way? Thanks.

  17. Add a homework tab along with the todo and the calendar. Have different subjects that we can add homework for the day to.

    The ability to turn our iPod or phone sideways to view the calendar and to do list would be awesome.

  19. More options for reminders

    Reminders that are 1 & 2 weeks, 1 month, etc. These would be helpful to send birthday cards in mail or to prepare for weddings, etc.

  20. I can choose different colours for each entry

    I have 3 people to taxi around and it is nice for each person to have their own block of colour
