Please revert to the old iPadOS 13 style widget.
As long as iOS 14 widgets don’t allow interactivity, the old one was far superior!
1) It allowed to show a week or a full month by clicking the expand-arrow, with the week display being nice and small.
2) It allowed to switch weeks/month with the left/right arrows
3) It opened AwesomeCal directly, whereas now first the WidgetCal app is opened before it opens AwesomeCal.
The new iOS 14 widget is a serious downgrade compared to what was offered before and which was the reason I chose to use WidgetCal in the first place. Please bring it back, at least as an option to chose.
Thanks.

Yay! The latest update did the trick, thanks so much! Hopefully Apple doesn‘t take it away for good before they make their „widgets“ actually useful.

Also, I wasn’t 100% sure, but now found it in the “completed” part of this wish list:
With the original widget, we could tap on a day, eg from next month or week and it would open the calendar app directly on that day, ready to add an event. That also isn’t possible anymore. Now the calendar will open focussed on today and we have to navigate our way to the day in question.
Also, it seems as if we could check off a task as completed directly from the Today widget. Gone as well with iOS14... there currently isn’t any Today widget, but if there was, 14 wouldn’t allow to interact in that way.
Please consider. I mean, you did put a lot of work to add all those features, only to have them ditched by apple’s sub par new implementation?
