Icon badge does not refresh automatically.

To refresh the badge data, Awesome calendar must be turned on in the Background App Refresh under iOS settings. Please check the setting in the iOS settings app.
iPhone/iPad settings>General>Background App Refresh

And It might also happen when your device is in Low Power mode because system automatically inactivates the background app refresh to save the battery.
